Thankful for my mom

I was not going to tell my mom (really a friend who I call mom) about my SI this weekend; yet, she knew from seeing me today that something was wrong, so she questioned me directly on the subject. And since I am determined not to hide anything from her, I told her the truth. Like always though she never freaks out. She just sits with me to work out what led me to SI and then she holds me tight. I don't know where I would be without her. She is one of the only people I feel safe with. Moreover, her house is the only place I have determined to be my safe zone, where SI cannot be used to cope. I am so glad that I have her in my life!

mums are wonderful.

I had a breakdown this christmas, and I finally ended up telling her everything about what was going on. not only did she pay off all my debts (which took a considerable weight off my mind) she told my doctor off till I got some help.

That's really awesome that your mom is so supportive like that. I'm sure it'll be really helpful in your fight to quit, too *hugs*. All parents of SIers should be supportive and caring like that.

That is so great...I wish that I had a mom or a friend like that. No one knows about me SI ing. Hold her close and never let her go!

My mom is awesome too. The very last time I SI'd my mom dressed and cleaned my cuts and said ' I really respect you for not cutting deeper, I know that must have taken a lot of self restraint'
It made me feel so much happier, shit I'm crying now. I love my mom so much!
I never thought she was there for me but I'll bet anyone out there if they ask their mom for help they always will. No one loves you like your mom. My mom is always 100% on my side, so I don't feel like its me against the world anymore :)
