could you possibly wear a t-shirt over your suit?

there is, in the end, the letting go.

Say you can't swim today?
Wear a towel until by the waters edge and just get in quickly?
Keep arms crossed until in the water?
Just a few ideas. Take care.

You babysat your aunt's evil cat from hell. IT doesn't like you very much.
Most of the time I feel like I don't belong.
But I got my new favorite record today.
My favorites change every single day.
Except you,
You'll always be number one.

It works too.
You start bitching about a cat, people believe you.

depending what your cut looks like, you could always say you accidently brushed it on something, accidently burnt yourself taking something out of the oven or plane just "i hurt myself". i did that once and people were like oh ok and shrugged and walked away.

If you have a realistic story behind why you have the injuries, people really don't look beyond that. Most people don't want to see that their friend might be SIing, so if you have a reasonable explaination it's doubtful that their mind would jump to SI.

I used the "feminine problems" excuse to get out of swimming in gym before. The best part about that is it got me out for a week--long enough for the cuts to become much less noticable.

The suggestions other people have suggested are really good. Ive never used the cat story but i have used the 'female problems' one before and it worked or just go with a realistic story or say your ill or something if you dont want to do it at all.
If you do want to do it still but just want ways to cover it up, id go for a plaster or t-shirt or just try and have your towel round you until your in the water then it should be less noticeable.
I hope it goes okay
