it's a great thing!! whateverrrrrrrrr it takes to make you feel better is awesome! i have a teddy bear named happy and i always hold it when i'm upset. it's childish, but sometimes resorting to what comforted us as a child really helps

I think it is totally normal, and a really good thing.

I think if something comforts you, then it is good to keep it around.

There was another thread today that you might be interested in, talking about tactile comfort. Have a look here viewtopic.php?t=76985

I have my stuffed lion that my pdoc/T gave me when I was going through a really hard time. It's very, very important to me.

I have a journal that prox gave to me. The beginning of it is filled with quotes all over the first few pages. It means so much to me. I go back and look the first few pages whenever I'm really sad or just feel like I can't get through a hard time or have had a terrible day.

I would say those are my two most vauled things I own...if the house was on fire and I was going to try save stuff, those would be the things I'd try to save.

It is a very good thing. Use it as much as you need to. I wish I still had my blanket from when I was little, but I "loved" it too hard...it came apart.

I think its a great thing - blankets/soft toys make you feel so much better, and unlike a human they don't ask questions. I have a big cuddly lion, and a soft toy rabbit called Beauty who I got when I was like 5, and they both really comfort me when I'm upset.

One of my favourite things to d when I feel down is to hide under my duvet and cuddle my teddy bear. Its good to have something that comforts you - obiously you can't carry a teddy bear or blanket around in a supermarket, but it certainly works at home.
