Hey, I just remembered that I'm hosting the counters when I checked the log files. So, I'll answer the questions that seem to be popping up: 1. They do go up and down - they're hosted on my home internet connection (good call Deskana ;)) which is really pushing the limits of what it can really do. I...

Hey :)

I literally just remembered they existed when I looked at the server logs just now!

The main hard disk in the server that hosts them died on me yesterday so I'm setting everything up again at the moment.

It shouldn't happen that way - it's possible that your school network is using a system to reduce the ammount of traffic they have to handle though, so every now and then you appear to be connecting from a different computer, which causes you to get logged out, because it looks like somebody else is...

I'm not seeing any problems here, but I tend to be around during the off peak times - my guess is that the problems are with the internet connection at BUS's end of the line. At the moment I don't think there's much we can do about it, although when I have some more time (if that ever happens ...

The word Blog is short for Weblog. Which in turn is essentially a stupid name for an online diary - the sort of thing people have been doing since long before a word was invented for it :P The only real difference is that as Blogs have grown up, a bunch of standard features have been created, such a...

[Makes a note to move the button when it's working again]

It does seem to be a bad position for it, since it's right next to the Reply button.

Ok, I'll concede that one I guess :P

In my defense, I'm a recovering network admin, where I had a policy of never giving in to anything without a really good reason :P

I'll keep people posted about whats going on.

You can now display your counters without the time at the end. Just link the image to http://counter.jellybob.co.uk/getCounter/name/notime.png instead of the old style links (which will continue to work). Time since the counter site was started: http://counter.jellybob.co.uk/getCounter/created/notim...
