In the end...

Its just a choice, it really is that simple, no ifs or buts, just a choice. I now choose to stop cutting. I now choose to stop making the wrong choices. It really is that simple, and everyone can do it. There are some things in your life you may not have had a choice about, but you do get to choose ...

Marmite is a spread derived from the left overs after brewing beer, it is basically the scum that they clean off of the bottom of the brewing vats. This, and its taste is the reason I don't like it. It tastes foul.

The one I tried to do yesterday was really hard. But they're usually a 10-15 minute job.

Yes, I believe they're japanese - they have symbols for words instead of letters, so they can't have crosswords. So you get sodoku instead.

Personally, I think owning books like DBT doesn't help anyone. The problem with these books is that you read them and then convince yourself that there is more wrong with you than there really is. And thats really not very healthy. My advice is that you SHOULD get rid of the book. And live your life...

There is someone who posts on here, who is a good friend of mine, and we can talk to each other when we're in the same place, which is getting more often. He's a huge help, and has given me the confidence to be open about my problem.

Thanks a lot Babyblu, love you loads :)

Hi, I know what you're going through, a friend of mine tried to commit suicide a couple of weeks ago - twice in one night - she tried to throw herself off the tyne bridge. (posted about it then).

Thoughts with you, you will get through it, and hopefully, with the right help, so will Emily.

"Emo" is neither punk nor rock, nor a conglomeration of the two. The people who make emo music have no clue what punk is, nor what rock is. Emo music in fact reminds me a lot of the music of the 80's like soft cell, the sound as well as the look. Would people still dress in the emo style if we showe...

I can't remember, it doesn't matter how hard I try, I can't remember lots of my childhood. People tell me I act childish sometimes, but I can't really remember what its like to be a child, so whats wrong with me doing some parts of it again? I'm pretty sure that I have hurt myself in one way or anot...

Oh, it gets worse. I've been staying with the ex, to give him some support. She keeps texting him, and ringing him. She turned up at his house - we weren't there - and sent a text saying "I'm outside your house, and if you don't let me in I'm gonna knock until I wake everyone up". He didn't reply. A...

Its all gone wrong (su)

Fuck, one of my closest friends threatened to kill herself tonight. Her and her boyfriend (also a very close friend of mine - more so than her, I've known him longer) have been having problems, and they just split up. She texted him, telling him it was his last chance or she'd jump, he kept texting ...

Just remember, cutting does not make it all better. It may feel better for a little while, but that is just chemical. Not that I'm one to talk, I cut just 3 hrs ago, because one of my friends gave me a funny look when she saw my arm - I've only just decided that I will reveal my SI to my friends, an...

Telling your friends

I was wondering if people could tell me how they told their friends - if you have told them that is - that you SI.

It would really help me to know how other people have done it, because I don't want to have to hide forever from some of the people in my life.

Please help

Koru is right

Clubs and societies are great, they get you out, give you a chance to do something you enjoy and meet loads more people. The friendships will evolve in time although it sounds like some are coming on well already. Join a society. I also started uni in 99 and my first year was horrible. But in my se...

what would you do then

thats the question you should ask first. If you're anything like me you will try to get them back or buy new ones. If you give your tools to a friend, would you then want to face the idea that you would want them back off them, and may be desperate when you do - Gods know how you might act then, wha...
