There are mild "drugs" in chocolate. Carbs can make people happy temporarily, but make sure to eat some protein, too, otherwise you'll crash later. Healthy diets in general (fruits and veggies, not too much fat, etc.) often help. Stay away from turkey, because it has something in it that will make y...

healthy rewards?

Does any one have some suggestions for safe, healthy rewards I can give myself? Food, like chocolate, works, but I tend to get some funny ideas about food if I use that too often. I'm guessing the best way to keep from abusing any one reward is to have a whole bunch of different ones. Ideas?

slight SI trig?

Thanks for the ideas; I'll definitely keep them in mind. The thing is, I'm really looking for ways to actively take care of my physical body in some way. I think part of the reason I pick at scabs, zits, whatever is that I want to be taken care of and I want to take care of something. The thing is, ...

physically taking care of myself (ideas please)

I think I'll be able to greatly reduce the amount of time I spend picking at my skin if I find ways to actually take care of myself. Somehow, it's soothing to even have the illusion of this, though it's hard to explain why. I have some ideas, but I need more - esp. ones that are very tactile and one...

I do that too sometimes... stuff like "brush my teeth" and "water the plants" that I always do anyways. If you write it the night before, you could even put "get out of bed" on it.

I hate it when people don't do what they say they will... even if it's something as simple as calling me back. I need to keep reminding myself that it doesn't mean that I'm a bad person or that they hate me or that no one is trustworthy, just that one specific person broke one specific agreement.

What helps me is to write a list, but to make sure that the things on there are reasonable and well-balanced. It's better to have too few things on there than too many - you can always put more down when you're done and get the feeling of really achieving something, but not getting things done can b...

Agility classes sound like fun! umm... 1. Being able to play "Syrinx" (I'm trying to get that song down well before college starts... one month and two days left. I'm pretty sure I can get it down by then...) 2. Getting an email and/or phone call back from the councilor I saw through school (probabl...

Scars are okay to show.

Fresh cuts... it depends. If you're around small children, it's probably a good diea to cover them up. If you're around people who will be triggered by it, please, PLEASE cover them up. Other than that... it's up to you.
