hate to say it - but a shawl would probably be your best bet, or bracelets and such. maybe on the night of prom find some concealer that works with your skin tone to take the redness out of more recent cuts

i'd say about 99% of the time writing about my SI/SU helps alot, its only like 1% of the time that it doesnt, so if its working for you, i'd definetely keep at it and dont give it up for the small minority of the time when it may or may not work

yes the urge does die down if you give it time and if you dont give into it - or at least thats what ive found with me and my depression/cutting. try to find ways to distract yourself - that will always make hte urges less intense. you're probably just in the withdrawal phase of it, and it'll decrea...

i cant tell you why it happens or anything like that, but i do know that ive done it before - ive woken up with bleeding fingers with teeth marks all over them, etc, numerous times
