Re: PMs stuck in outbox

thesegreyskyeyes is right - PMs will stay in your Outbox until the person you've PMed has read them. Then they will appear in your Sentbox.

I don't.

My parents know that I SI, as do my close friends, but the only person with whom I ever *really* talked about it is no longer in a position to be that kind of friend to me.

I write about it here. That's all.

Well done, choosing a healthy drink!

I'm proud that I went out of my way to be nice to someone in the office who I argued with last week. We have to work together, and I wanted her to know there are no hard feelings.

Kaelyn - I've tried lucid dreaming before - sometimes I can make it work, sometimes not. It's a really cool thing to try, though. Has it helped you?

How do you shake off bad dreams? *no trigs*

I sometimes have very vivid, violent dreams that scare the bejesus out of me. I know they aren't real, but the feelings they provoke - fear, sadness, horror, general ickiness - often stay with me for a day or more. I had a truly terrifying dream last night, and I tried my usual methods of snapping o...

It's scary to confide in people. I have regretted telling people personal details before, but it was because those people later proved not to be trustworthy. I guess I think... Taking risks, like choosing to tell someone a secret, is nerve-wracking, but it can be such a great experience if the perso...

Re: i need help *SA

i want to... You answered your own question, kiddo. If you want to, if you think it will help you move on and feel better, you should. Maybe you could call RAINN or another hotline to find out what all will be involved? I feel better when I know what's going to happen... It would be a good way to p...

For me, crying is an intimate activity... I guess because of the vulnerability it shows. I haven't cried from emotional distress in front of anyone for more than a year. I understand your discomfort about crying in front of your T. I'm still trying to deal with that... Right now, I either leave the ...

I totally wanted the same thing! For my birthday, I got a thingie that hangs from the ceiling and has mosquito netting. I'm putting it over my bed. I'll bet if you're crafty you could just get a round frame (like on a chandelier), string curtains on it, and hang it from the ceiling.

It's hard to be away from everything and everyone you know. I'm sure India was quite a culture-shock. I'm sorry you're having a rough time. When I lived abroad, I kept a journal and read guidebooks all the time, so that I could appreciate where I was. At the same time, I think it's inevitable to fee...

I have "visions", too.

I think I have the opposite reaction to them, though... Picturing SI, planning it, imagining every detail, actually sometimes alleviates the need for me to actually do it.

Alcohol definitely makes it more likely that I'll SI.
