I love to knit too. Mittens are my specialty. I made a pattern for monster mittens, they are really cute, they have eyes and spikes along the back, and teeth! I can try and post the pattern if anyone is interested, but I would have to write it out first, it's just in my head. I can also try and post...

need some advice, not really about SI
My pdoc finally told me that she thinks I might have DID, but without more testing and exploration, she's not really sure. She suggested I find a therapist. This is not an entirely new concept to me, I've sort of suspected it for awhile now. Here's the dilemma. I just graduted from college and I'm c...

Ketchup packet. Like from a fast food place. Tape those on the underside of the cardboard "arm" and try and hit those when you cut the "arm" and then it will bleed, but it will also be very messy. I know, I used to stab ketchup packets sometimes, just for the comfort without the destruction. Kinda w...
This should probably have a spoiler on it for bullying/ peer abuse. I was 12. So I had been enduring about 6 years of abuse from my peers in school. It started in about 1st grade. At first, I was just an ignored outcast, which was fine, because I prefered my own company, but then they started active...

::sigh:: why can't I just know the secret fomulas of society that other people seem to know. How is it that I didn't get a copy of the rule book to society? I mean, it seems like the people around just know how to interact with eachother. I have no clue how to talk to other people, or how to underst...

Kinda proud of myself!
I'm not really sure what happend last night, I remember that I really wanted to SI. Then there is a large blank period (I tend to blackout when I'm really triggered). Ususally when that happens, i wake up covered in SI marks, but this morning, I woke up covered in red marker! NO SI, just marker! Unf...

I love music too. I listen to everything. I love classical, especially flute, and Irish folk music and the Barenaked Ladies, and They Might be Giants and Songs from my favorite cartoons and Silly Wizard, and my all time favorite, Powderfinger, they are Austrailian and absolutely amazing. They sing o...

I wouldn't want to go on Naltrexone or Naloxone, they would make SI hurt more, but also they cause dysphoria and are generally unpleasant. I can imagine that would be a good treatment for people who are in emotional pain already. Besides they would increase the everyday physical pain, like the disco...

I can't say I haven't blamed my cat, but there have been times when he really is to blame. I can promise not to blame him when it isn't his fault though. My cat is EVIL, pure and simple evil. He attacks people without warning, often after HE has initiated friendly contact. If fact he is so evil I ha...

Thanks for the tips and finding more resources. I'm in the middle of my finals now, but I do plan to do some research on the topic. I'm mostly interested in the biological aspects of brian chemistry at this point. I'll be doing some serious exploring in the next few weeks. There isn't too much on Me...

Brian physiology of SI?
Does anyone know of any studys on the brain physiology of SIers? I'm just wondering because today in Biochem of Drug Action, we were talking about how the synthesis of natural endorphines (pain relievers) is linked with the sysnthesis of two hormones that mobilize energy sources in the body. So I gu...
