backgrounds

when did all of the backgrounds get deleted? I'm not too fond of the four that are now offered. I was using quidditch (I think) -the purple one. Is there any chance that it will be brought back? Or am I just going to have to adjust to one of these?

ya, words are what I do when "normal" SI doesn't do it anymore. I'm not sure how (or if) I've stopped but I guess writing it on paper a zillion or so times would probably lessen the urge to write it on yourself...or maybe using a red marker or pen on your body instead...well those are my suggestions...

*SI

I feel like that. Whenever I look at my cuts I'll think "oh, that looks horrible...I should stop." then that night I'll end up cutting anywayz...and I'll be thinking "why bother trying to stop? No one will notice anyways! and what would I do instead? Fester it all inside? I mean, coping techniques o...

Some of those I've used (like the elastic band and the red marker, music, and journals) but I really liked the sound of the 5,4,3,2,1 one. I think that I'll try that sometime!! Thanx for the suggestion!

ya, I can totally relate to everything being worse at night....and the nights go sooooo slow!! I think it's because there's nothing to do at night but lay in your bed and think about everything that we try to avoid thinking about during the day...there's just nothing to distract us! It bites! PM if ...

well I don't know how well my coping techniques are for other people but at night it helps me to read a scary book....not other kinds, just scary. Writing also helps me....writing letters to people (you know the kind that you'll never send). And singing along to music....but that is hard to do when ...

I like those...they are really helpful...sometimes I use some of those.

The one where you mentioned singing a song about how you are feeling reminded me that I used to do that when I was younger...like 5 or 6...when I didn't care about my bad singing voice! lol!
Thanx for reminding me!

The first time that I cut was a little more than a year and a half ago. My mom had found lump on her neck and had to go have it tested. Her doctor had told her that there was a 75% chance that it was cancerous. The day I cut was the day that she told me about the 75% chance. I was afraid and I wasn'...

That is a pretty good idea...that way you HAVE to look at all the happy things...I mean if you really wanted to SI you still could....but it is a good idea because if you didn't really want to SI then you would see these things and stop and look. You're pretty smart!
