From what I understand of phpBB, archiving things by moving them to a different forum won't speed things up at all. Only deleting the posts from the database will (or moving them to a seperate database)...

The BUS Gallery is fairly simple really. Go to http://busmail.org/gallery and sign up. Please use your BUS username as your username on the gallery. Once signed in, you can upload files into the Hosted section and then upload files using the <<album action>> button in the top right corner. Once you'...

Do you use a mousemat? If not, buy one! Optical mice don't like non-uniformly coloured surfaces. Mousemats help optical mice so much!

If you asked to be an honoured elder, or accepted an invitation to be an honoured elder (as is likely if you have that title) then your rank and buses do not change as you get more posts.

I mean it's not possible for you to have got anything from BUS itself. But, read the following.

http://buslist.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=92578

It might provide some insight into your problem. Sound familiar?

That's not possible. More than likely you clicked a link or something similar.

Incidentally, what internet security do you use? Some of them are actually big problems themselves (I'm sure that's not the case here, but just checking).

I assume it's a feature of the board software. Obviously it can't show ALL the boards otherwise it'd show things like moderator boards, and if they're only hidden it could lead to anyone accessing the boards. Just a guess. I wouldn't imagine there's a quick way to fix that but that is a guess also!

Try right clicking on it and clicking "Lock the Taskbar" so it's off. Then just try and drag it to the bottom of the screen. You might need to make a bit larger first, but you can make it smaller later. To make it larger, click and hold on the edge, and drag it. :)

Well... I've sent a series of PMs to Deb about it. She's really the only one that can fix it. But I've not got any reply from her. It seems that she just hasn't read them. I know she's very busy though. Please be patient.

Don't mean to patronise, but have you checked the other side of the screen?

I couldn't see it at first, but then I looked on the other side of the screen. I'm sure it was on the left last time I used it.... :-?

Perhaps a voting system where the admin votes count a lot more than the member votes? I don't know. Personally I think that the admins are more suited to choose who the advocates are... but then again, people might see that as admins having control over the people who are supposed to review them... ...

Perhaps I'm thinking into this too much... but BUS is basically a database, right? I'm pretty sure I could write a VB program that could poke into the database and send mass PMs... it might take a day or so, but I'm pretty sure I could do it. Perhaps I'm thinking BUS is a lot simpler than it is, but...
