Cool idea, Ness! And ... CONGRATS on the :180_days_si_free: :60_days_si_free: ! I don't have a distraction box, but I do have a "psych first aid" kit that I take with me everywhere, and it's got a little bottle of Bach Flower Rescue Remedy, a little bottle of lavender essential oil that I can sniff ...

Cool! And what a cool siggy, too! :-)

Today I am proud of myself because I made it a point to call as many people as I possibly could by their names, rather than just saying "Hi."

Re: The Worry Doll Thread

I'm worried that my professor won't like my paper when I turn it in. I'm worried that I'll say the wrong thing in front of my classmates. I'm worried that my classmates will see me as an outsider once they come to my house for my birthday party and see my boyfriend's political posters on the wall. I...

Re: Self Re-parenting? ever heard of it.

I'm not certain of that particular technique, but I do often try talking with my "inner child," and having my "inner child" talk back to me, about what I have to do to be a good "mommy" to her. Is that kind of what you're focusing on?

Best of luck with it, either way. :clover:

Re: New Method of Coping!

Yes, I've tried things like that with some success, too. Like rinsing my mouth with Listerine after brushing my teeth - the stinging from the mouthwash makes my eyes water, and it does help me feel calmer. :-)

Re: Signature and URL dilemma

Try this: open-bracket, then "url=http://...," then close-bracket, and then the link text, and then, [/url]

(had to spell it out, so it wouldn't see the formula as a command)

Hi QueenxVic,

I'm glad you posted, and I'm glad that you found a system that works well for you. Many people have different feelings about medicines -- they work well for some, not as well for others. Medicine is one tool among many that are available to us.

Best wishes with your recovery work,
