Re: get to know the board staff

I live with my fiancee and two little dogs in the UK. We're getting married in July 2014 and would like to start a family after that. I'm in my 30s (was born in 1982). I currently work fulltime as a manager in a resource department at a university and also do some part time lecturing in business sta...

Re: before

Could you also let your therapist know that the rushed appointment stressed you out... I appreciate that part of it was to remind someone in the office about something for you, but could that have waite until after the appointment, and is it ok for them to take a phone call? I think the idea of sett...

I pleased you like the forum... the one thing I love most about it is how each and every member makes it the forum it is. I hope it helps you cope while your girlfriend is away and then after that as well.

Maybe I could just SI in moderation I completely get where you're coming from with this idea... when I've thought things like this it's almost as if I'm bargaining with myself to find a way to justify SI. If you're honest with yourself though, do you really think this is an option... or would it gr...

Well done for posting here. And please do go to the doctor. Looking after yourself physically is so important (and it always helps me with how I feel mentally.) Even if you do SI, most doctors are very supportive. Though if the idea of not wanting to show your doctor SI scars is helping you combat u...

I can only echo what zazie said. I really hope you manage to get help.

If you're really struggling would online English speaking support - like the samaritans website... or something like that... be of any use?

Though you made in effort in at least trying to answer them. The fact you tried means, in my eyes at least, you're not a failure. In that situation where you mum would say "you're an adult now, you can hold it" could you not say "yes, I'm an adult and that means it's my decision whether to hold it, ...

Do you *know* your T is angry at you? You may believe she is angry and you... but did she actually say she was angry with you? It seems more likely to me that if she is upset it's because she doesn't want her client to be in distress. So she might be angry and your illness/coping mechanisms, but not...

Could you maybe try and turn it on it's head and instead of thinking of choosing the least bad option look at this in terms on choosing the best option for your long term health. If you think out the pros and cons of both you'll be empowering yourself to make a positive decision about your health ca...

That is a difficult situation to be in. I hope you manage to clear the Hep C soon. Until then I think it'll be a case of choosing the least bad option. So look at the pros and cons of meds and the pros and cons of not being on meds. Good luck! x

Hi, I notice this is the first time you've posted in B&A *waves*

I think it's great that you've committed to phoning your T next time - is there anything else you can commit to trying that may help? Is there anyone else you could call that would get you out of that situation?

Take care

Could the doctor help you with referrals to counselling rather than medication then? When you say it "takes your soul away" do you mean that a side effect of the medication makes you feel emotionally flat/empty? Because that's a side effect I've had before and maybe trying a smaller dose of medicati...
