Thank you so much, your replies have really helped. I will try and reply with something more substantial later, but as it's taking me a while, I just wanted to pop in and say I have read your replies and found them really helpful. Thank you so much.

I guess it will seem weird, because you're not used to it. But remember being 'normal' doesn't make you not special and not amazing in your own right.

Intense Emotions

I know it's bizarre, and somewhat pathetic, but I can't cope with my emotions. I start off feeling numb and somewhat disassociated, and it goes on and on and it feels like I'm swimming through porridge, and then KABOOM all these emotions pour out onto my and I can't cope and I feel suicidal just to ...

You could get a chocolate calander! Or a pack of chocolates and have a small chocolate every day you go without. Or you get a chain and a box of cans of something, and every time you beat an urge treat yourself to can and then take the ringpull off and put it on the chain!

Hey, Would it help to read some basic stuff on repression? I could have a look for some easy to read information. Like understanding and being nurturing towards yourself during this time. I was bullied to the point I moved schools. But I never thought of it as much once I left. Then a few years late...

Thank you so much for your support, I got another horrible message from them wrhich really set me off into a wreck. I self harmed, I tried so hard not to. But I suppose my problem is that I felt secure in hospital, and now with my Dad dying everything seems strange and unsure. It's going to take a w...

Heya, Thanksf or your reply, I've got some music on now and I'm going to turn it up really loud and think about hope and such, thank you. Following your advice has made me feel a bit better. An hour ago I was sure I was broken. I found out on another support site, where I've been a longtime member a...

Hey, sorry new to this. Waiting for access to the Workshop to really work on these things but I could really do with some advice now. I'm feeling really fragile, I feel like very thin glass or ice that is about to break. Sort of how I felt in the aftermath of my Dad dying (which happened six weeks a...

Heya, Maybe think of the situations where you feel happy, safe, ok. Like even if just a little bit. If you can't think of one where you feel happy, maybe settle for ok, or 'better than this' and then think about how you can recreate that situation now. Or think about how to recreate the self harm em...

Ok let's give this a go ... Before

Thanks to the mod who approved my membership. I've only just in the few weeks decided that I do want to stop, after being a regular self harmer for about five years... so yeah, I'll give this a try I guess: how will this situation or feeling change if i hurt myself? I'll probably feel much more rela...
