please limit yourself to 8k of images in your sig. (if this turns out to be a problem for a lot of people, i can probably raise it to 10 or 12). we still have some peopel on dialup, and if there are 20 sigs on a page and each is 50k, that's a *lot* of stuff to download.

things that are already posted shouldn't be affected, but new posts will be. this also means you can no longer use <img> in your sig.

the next time it happens, try deleting all your cookies from bus and logging off then back on. that may help narrow it down.

btw, laura, thank you so much for everything you did for the board. you were an admin during some pretty rough times in your life, and you did a good job. i am intensely grateful -- you've helped make the board what it is.

one other thing to try -- if the url says http://blablah.php?sid=(string of numbers) or ends with &sid=(string of numbers), try deleting the &sid=(numbers) or ?sid=(numbers) from the url.

if you get them frequently, when do you get them -- posting, reading, pm, or something else?
