Re: locked place

that is weird. i have no idea why that happened. let me know if you see that box again. the only thing i can think is if permissions were being updarted or something and you got in there...

were there other options in the box or just lock?

How to have one of your posts locked or moved

If you'd like a post of yours locked or moved, you can now request that using the report post feature. :disco: It won't have any effect on your standing on the board -- it's just a quick way for you to let a mod know what needs to be done. Thanks!

deleting your own posts

you should now be able to delete a topic you posted if there have been no replies. you can also delete a post you made if it is the last post in a topic.

more smilies on posting page

i've added more smilies, including many of my favorites, to the group that comes up to the left of the text box on the posting page. i think i've squeezed in as many as i can.

Re: posts

i think what happened is that it resynchronized the post counts when the upgrade happened and the posts that were in the stuff that got split off didn't get added back in. i'm trying to think of a way to recapture the post counts. i've got an idea of how i might be able to do it with sql, but i hae ...

unread topics persist!

something i've noticed that's kind of cool -- when you log off, your unread topics don't reset the way they did in the old version. they're still marked unread when you log back on. i like that; i used to hate it when i logged on then lost my session and logged back on and lost all of my unread mark...

Re: tiny smilies

i checked the database and all of them defaulted to 15 x 15, so you don't have to post ones that do that.

i really appreciate the help.

i set the limits low because i wanted to keep images from making people have to scroll. i can reset it, but what would be good dimensions to use?

tiny smilies

there is a solution. i'm willing to do it even though it's going to be a serious pain in the ass, but i'd like help. i need to know the actual dimensions of each smilie. if one is in a post, you can right-click and choose "properties." somewhere on the window that coems up it will say something like...

Re: search

i need to rebuild the search index. it's a matter of figuring out how long it will take and possibly taking the board down; i'm not sure if it can be done with the board live.
