It took me some time, but finally disabling a couple of add-on's that had been downloaded when I installed Firefox, fixed the problem.

This just started happenning to me today, so I'm not sure if it's BUS or something wrong with my computer - I did run a complete virus scan, and it says my computer is clean. I'm seeing random words in messages appearing in orange and underlined, and when I click on them, an ad pops up? Thanks split...

There was a series of multiple problems that had to be resolved. BUS was also down part of yesterday afternoon and last night. It may still be down for some people. sine nomine aka Deb, has been working hard with the server that hosts BUS tech's support to get everything resolved.

Well that was weird. I checked her permissions and she didn't have place listed as one of her forums, although she used to have it. I'm guessing software glitch. I've resorted place to her forums list, and then transfered her permisions over to me, so that I could "see" the board and I could get int...

I think there was a problem with the domain name reregistration going through, or at least that's the most likely explanation. As soon as I saw that BUS was down, I got in touch with the site owner and explained that site was down. She obviously fixed it.

I go through the birthday's thread on an almost daily basis and delete loads of spam accounts - it's not a highlight of my day, although i occassionally get a chuckle out of the responses given for gender.

I can comment on the captcha function. There still is a captcha function for new registrants but the setting is really low, so it basically doesn't stop anyone.
