Re: Before and After

I'm sorry, I think that might have got overlooked. I can't do it for you, as I'm not a Before and After mod. But if you re-apply to join, it should get spotted and go through fine! It's easier if you re-apply to join, as it should just be a mouse-click to sort you out! I'll let the Before and After ...

Re: [DELETE ME PLEASE]

While this hasn't been deleted yet, I'll pop in and say there is a way to link to a post. If you look in the top right hand corner of the post, it says "Posted" and then the date and time. Just to the left of where it says that, is a small rectangular icon - if you right-click on this and click on "...

Re: Passwords?!?!

I have a suggestion to make.... When I have a new password to remember, I write it down in 'code' somewhere. I don't write "My BUS password is......."... but say, for example, that your password is OrangeJuice... you could write in your diary or a notebook "Buy more OrangeJuice" - it wouldn't mean n...

Re: How do you delete a post?

Just so long as I know it's been taken on board really, that's all I need to know. Bus-staff are good and get round to pretty much everything in the long term. I don't want to step on any Admin's toes by butting in here, but I just wanted to reassure you that this has been very much taken on board!...

Re: get to know the board staff

Updated 17th February 2014 Hi there, I'm Poppies, and I've been a Moderator for nearly 4 years - wow!! :-) I'm a Mod in Spirt and Place. Please come and explore Spirit - it's not a 'heavy' place - it's a warm, welcoming place for anyone of any faith/belief - whether you are of a particular belief/f...

Re: How do you delete a post?

I'm afraid I've found the same problem in the past and didn't know how to solve it. I'll ask the Mods and Admins if they know. :)

Thankyou for that jomomma , and thankyou for your PM! :) You've put my mind at rest! :) I would like to say that I'm impressed with how quickly the situation was dealt with. I know I complained about not getting an acknowledgement - but I realise that that was an oversight, and that's fine! :) BUS i...

Acknowledgement of reporting a post?

I'll apologise in advance here - I thought there was an "Ask the Moderators" thread but I can't find it, so I started this thread... Yesterday I reported a thread where a BUS member was 'attacked'. The particular section of thread has now been moved to 'holding'. Is there no policy for acknowledging...

With parenting, as with pretty well everything, there is no "black and white" - there are no absolutes. Whilst your mother's actions were damaging to you, this doesn't mean that she didn't (and doesn't) love you. Whilst her mothering-skills appear to have been very flawed, this doesn't mean that she...

Re: Thanx guyz

I know your post was over a week ago, and I hope this is still relevant... It's natural to find it hard when our 'children' grow up, and it can be painful to see them become more independent. That doesn't mean that we don't want them to be independent.... but it doesn't stop it hurting when we see i...

Just a thought... I work with children, and one way to encourage them is to make use of star-charts, or sticker charts. If you make yourself a chart with the things you find 'difficult' on it - for example, teeth-cleaning, washing, showering........ Then you could go and choose yourself some sticker...
